Essential Criteria
- Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare.
- At least 2 years’ experience of working in an Early Years setting in a management/leadership role.
- GCSE qualification in English and Maths grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Experience and sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and statutory Ofsted guidance.
- As a minimum to have received Basic Awareness of Child Protection and Safeguarding Children training.
- Knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures relating to safeguarding children, health and safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
- Possess or be willing to obtain a Paediatric First Aid certificate.
About The Role
Kingfishers’ preschool is looking for an experienced and passionate Manager to Lead the day to day operation of our setting in Kingsley. You’ll provide strong leadership to our childcare team, ensuring a high quality, nurturing environment for children and supportive engaging experience for families. We are located in the Staffordshire Moorlands, our community pre-school offers a nurturing family like atmosphere. Our setting is situated on the school premises, and we work closely with the school to ensure children experience a seamless transition. We have a sister setting based in Dilhorne, and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to support this setting and work closely with the manager based there. You will manage a small team of practitioners while also working directly within the room, with designated hours allocated for management responsibilities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the trustees to support the effective running and ongoing development of the provision.
