Facilities Manager

Location: Sennybridge

A vital role supporting the UK Defence Training Estate.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support facilities teams and supervisors, allocating work and monitoring performance
  • Ensure facilities are available and compliant through inspections, planning and oversight of PPM and reactive tasks
  • Manage accommodation, waste, stores, grounds maintenance and cleaning services
  • Liaise with customers, Employer representatives and technical specialists
  • Manage contractors and oversee handover and take back of facilities
  • Complete risk assessments, method statements and required documentation
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and added value

Qualifications

  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge (COSHH, risk assessments, safe systems of work – IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent)
  • Experience managing facilities, services or estates in an operational environment
  • Strong communication, organisation and workforce planning skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, contractors and multiple priorities
  • Confident IT skills

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to pass BPSS security clearance
  • 5 years UK residency
