Job Description:

As a Valve Applications Engineer at KLINGER UK, you will provide expert product selection guidance and technical support to internal colleagues. The role supports a broad customer base across multiple industries, including oil & gas, petrochemical, power, marine, water, and manufacturing, with a focus on Level Gauges, Magnetic Level Gauges, and Industrial Valves. The role combines technical knowledge with responsive internal support to enhance sales activity and deliver effective solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide technical guidance on the selection and specification of level gauges, magnetic level indicators, and valves in line with customer requirements and process conditions
  • Review marketing and training materials, including datasheets, to ensure technical accuracy in collaboration with the marketing team and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations, technical documentation, and commercial proposals in partnership with sales and customer services teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships, acting as a key technical point of contact
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the product portfolio, including applications, relevant standards (e.g. ASME, API), and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to support the development and testing of products in response to market needs

Key Competencies

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience within the instrumentation or valve sector. (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical process equipment, ideally with hands-on experience or engineering education. (Essential)
  • Experience working with OEMs or manufacturers of level and flow instrumentation. (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry (Desirable)
  • Experience with EPC Technical Evaluation Processes (Desirable)
  • Excellent communicator (written, verbal and listening)
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • Effective time management/organisational skills
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
