Our client is a social housing group focused on delivering outstanding care in the community and helping people live independently at home for longer. They operate a model that spans a range of community needs, balancing a social purpose with commercial and operational success, and are a leading provider of affordable homes for rent and sale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of 4 accountants across financial accounts and finance business partnering.
- Take responsibility for statutory accounting, financial reporting for the group, budgeting, and financial planning, ensuring alignment with the corporate business plan.
- Lead Treasury management and policy to support the overarching corporate plan.
- Oversee external audit and statutory reporting, VAT and group structures as part of the financial governance framework.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA) from the Social Housing sector.
- Expertise in financial accounting and reporting, including leading external audit and statutory reporting, VAT, and group structures.
- Knowledge of Treasury management processes and compliance.
- Proven leadership of teams with a results-oriented, proactive approach.
Location & Availability
Based in the UK. The role is remote, with attendance at the HQ twice a month for key meetings; otherwise home-based.
