Interim Commercial Manager, Corporate Services – Public Sector Procurement
Client: Major Public Sector organisation
Location: Hybrid working and 50% in office in London
Duration: ASAP to 18th December 2026
An opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major public sector organisation delivering complex, high-profile procurement activity across Corporate Services and Social Impact programmes.
This role sits within a strategic procurement function and will lead end-to-end commercial activity across a varied services portfolio, supporting category delivery from concept through to procurement execution and governance approval.
The Role
- Leading complex pre-contract procurement activity from strategy through to award
- Designing and delivering compliant routes to market
- Developing tender documentation and managing evaluation processes
- Drafting and securing approval of governance papers
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across business functions
- Applying market insight and commercial thinking to shape sourcing options
- Supporting commercial delivery across a wider services portfolio when required
Requirements
- Strong public sector procurement background
- Proven expertise in pre-contract procurement, tendering and evaluation
- Experience producing governance and approval papers
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to use market intelligence and commercial insight creatively
