KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct technical work leading to the successful completion of projects
  • Oversee and manage complex consulting projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and within‑budget delivery

Team Management and Mentoring

  • Mentor and develop junior consultants and team members
  • Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment

Technical Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Stay up to date with industry development, regulatory changes and power systems technologies
  • Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and networking events

REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements include:

  • Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Proven experience preparing high‑quality technical reports
  • Hands‑on experience with power system modelling and analysis using tools such as IPSA, DIgSILENT Power Factory, or PSCAD
  • Strong understanding of GB transmission and distribution networks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver technical work independently or as part of a team
  • Confident engaging with clients and building long‑term professional relationships
  • Well‑rounded individual with the ability to deliver work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to engage with clients, forming long‑term and mutually beneficial relationships
  • Experience with Python for analysis or automation
  • Background in detailed HV electrical design and relevant standards
  • Experience developing proposals or bids for UK or international clients
  • Understanding of the energy regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of HV asset management practices
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities
