A well-established residential childcare provider is looking to appoint a Registered Children’s Home Manager for an existing Good rated children’s home based in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into registration within a supportive, therapeutic and relationship-led organisation.

The home supports up to 4 young people aged between 10–18 years with EBD and complex needs within a highly nurturing and structured environment. The organisation places a genuine focus on appropriate matching, therapeutic care and positive long-term outcomes rather than occupancy-driven practices.

The successful candidate will lead an established staff team and play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance while continuing to develop a positive culture throughout the home.

Responsibilities

• Overall day-to-day management of the children’s home

• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards

• Leading, developing and supporting the staff team

• Promoting a therapeutic and trauma-informed culture

• Safeguarding and care planning responsibilities

• Building positive relationships with young people, families and professionals

• Driving continuous improvement and positive outcomes

Requirements

• Experience within residential children’s homes

• Leadership or management experience within a childcare setting

• Good understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People

• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification preferred or willingness to complete

• Experience supporting young people with EBD, trauma and complex behaviours

The organisation would also consider experienced Deputy Managers looking to progress into their first Registered Manager position.

What’s On Offer

• Competitive salary with flexibility for the right candidate

• Discretionary bonus linked to Ofsted outcomes

• Existing Good rated home

• Supportive senior leadership team

• Therapeutic and relationship-led culture

• Excellent staffing ratios and support structures

• Long-term progression opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity to join a smaller provider that genuinely prioritises quality care, therapeutic practice and positive outcomes for young people.
