Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cooker Operative to ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Production & Efficiency

  • Operate machinery to achieve optimum efficiency and meet production targets.
  • Report and record faults, downtime, and performance issues.
  • Complete pre-start checks and ensure machines are clean and in good working order.
  • Follow correct specifications, including programmes, films, and date codes.

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain cleaning standards before and during production.
  • Ensure weights, metal detection, and print checks are carried out at the required frequency.
  • Verify seal integrity and ensure products meet quality standards.

Yield & Waste Control

  • Set and maintain weights within agreed tolerances.
  • Minimise waste, including floor waste and overproduction.

Policies & Procedures

  • Follow all company policies, including health & safety, quality control, and safe working practices.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work to targets.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Reliable, team-focused, and safety-conscious.
