Medical Lead & Consultant Paediatrician (Community Child Health and/or Paediatric Neurodisability)
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our child development team based at the Crawley Child Development Centre (CDC) in West Sussex. The Centre provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary child development and disability services across the Crawley and Horsham areas. The successful applicant will become part of a multidisciplinary team offering high quality care for children with a wide range of developmental needs.
This post is suitable for either Community Paediatric or Neurodisability Paediatricians. The medical lead will provide clinical leadership and form part of the CDC’s medical leadership team, working closely with the Medical Head of Service. The post holder will carry a neurodevelopmental and neurodisability caseload, and undertake responsibilities associated with the team’s medical lead role.
Key work includes supporting the teaching of medical students from Brighton & Sussex Medical School, supervising paediatric trainees, and participating in quality improvement and peer review activities. The post holder will have close links with CAMHS, University Hospitals Sussex, and Education and Social Services within West Sussex.
We offer regular SPA time and support continued professional development. The post may encourage further training while in post if needed.
