Job Description:

We are working with a leading global insurance firm to appoint an HR Business Partner into their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, international environment where you will play a key role in delivering both operational HR support and strategic initiatives across the UK and Europe.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the business while contributing to the wider global People strategy.

The Role

As HR Business Partner, you will provide end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle, combining hands-on operational delivery with strategic input across people, talent, and culture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance, coaching, and support on people-related matters
  • Support the delivery of the Group HR strategy alongside the Head of HR
  • Contribute to regional and global HR projects

Employee Relations

  • Manage and advise on low-risk ER cases, ensuring early intervention where possible
  • Provide confidential coaching and guidance to employees and managers
  • Ensure alignment with company policies and best practice

HR Operations & Payroll

  • Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, benefits, and offboarding
  • Assist with payroll processes and deputise for the Payroll Manager when required
  • Maintain HR systems (Workday) and ensure accuracy of HR data
  • Keep HR policies and intranet resources up to date

Data & Insights

  • Analyse HR metrics and employee data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Support insights from engagement surveys, exit interviews, and inclusion initiatives

Talent, Learning & Development

  • Support performance review cycles and talent planning processes
  • Work with managers to identify development opportunities and succession plans
  • Promote and enhance learning initiatives across the business

Recruitment & DEI

  • Oversee recruitment approvals and promote a diversity-focused hiring approach
  • Support inclusive hiring practices and training (e.g. unconscious bias)

Compensation & Wellbeing

  • Assist with annual compensation processes
  • Support wellbeing initiatives and promote a positive employee experience

About You

  • Early-career HR professional with strong operational HR experience and a desire to develop
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within financial services / insurance / professional services
  • Exposure to European markets highly advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Strong organisational and analytical capabilities
