Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full life cycle of conservation and construction projects across the English Heritage estate.
  • Lead and inspire in‑house and external teams to deliver projects that conserve our sites and enhance visitor experiences.
  • Manage budgets, procurement, records and stakeholder relationships to achieve agreed standards.
  • Use asset data to shape project planning, support public engagement opportunities and collaborate across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with staff from many other English Heritage departments and serve as a positive ambassador for the Projects and Portfolio Management team.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of planning and delivering heritage sector project work using a structured project management methodology.
  • Proven track record of project management of successful projects, including heritage and/or new construction.
  • Relevant project management experience in the historic and conservation sector.
  • Experience delivering projects that require management of multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to project‑manage a range of projects in parallel, prepare achievable programmes of work and identify critical paths to ensure success.
