Streamline Recruitment have partnered with a fantastic client to support their recruitment drives and are now looking to appoint a Transport & Contracts Logistics Planner (Night Shift) to join their operations team.
This position plays a key role in coordinating transport across a mix of commercial and utility-based work, ensuring service delivery is maintained to a high standard, particularly within time-sensitive and reactive environments.
Working within a fast-paced operation, you ll be responsible for planning vehicle and driver activity, managing real-time changes, and liaising with both internal teams and external providers to keep services running efficiently.
The role will involve:
- Coordinating daily transport plans across multiple contracts
- Allocating drivers and vehicles in line with availability and driver hours regulations
- Managing live changes to schedules, particularly during incidents or disruptions
- Working with third-party logistics providers and monitoring service delivery
- Maintaining clear communication with drivers, clients and internal teams
- Supporting out-of-hours and emergency response activity when required
- Ensuring all activity is compliant with transport and health & safety regulations
This role would suit someone who is organised, confident making decisions under pressure, and comfortable working in a reactive environment.
Previous experience within transport planning or logistics is important, along with strong communication and IT skills.
Package & Working Hours:
GBP36,400 during initial training period, increasing to GBP40,000 once completed
4 on / 4 off night shift pattern (20 00)
Initial 8-week training period working Monday to Friday, 08 00
Office-based training, followed by flexibility to work from either of two sites.
