Our team is responsible for technology engineering, architecture and infrastructure, providing 24×7 support to ensure an uninterrupted, high‑quality experience for customers and colleagues. We also provide product management for core enterprise platforms, and lead technology risk and information security, enterprise data governance and platforms, digital product and design and enterprise AI platforms on behalf of the company.

The Senior Manager, Digital Product Management – Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) focuses on the delivery of critical capabilities to enable and evidence AXP’s compliance with the processing of personal data and rights of access in accordance with global privacy regulations. This role manages the Data Subject Request Processor (DSRP) product vision, strategy and roadmap based on key customer needs and feedback, enabling the efficient automation of DSAR requests across the Enterprise. Working with product, engineering and second‑line partners this role delivers an ambitious 2026 roadmap and designs a new way of fulfilling DSAR requests for internal partners and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, continuously refine and execute the vision and product strategy for the Data Subject Request Processor platform and associated data discovery and integration at American Express, including regular assessment of the global regulatory environment to inform future platform needs.
  • Work across the DSAR team to develop, communicate and execute on the core roadmap across prioritized markets and DSAR types.
  • Build relationships and drive strategic alignment with critical business partners such as International Privacy Risk Management and Global Servicing to evangelise and gain buy‑in for DSAR technical solutions, and manage responses to regulatory initiatives affecting the portfolio.
  • Work with the DSAR product team in the development and maintenance of required program collateral and assets, including roadmaps, updates, project tracking and informational hubs/documents for partner engagement.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop automation and reporting solutions that are compliant, built to scale and achieve business goals.
  • Coordinate with International Privacy Risk Management and Global Servicing to prioritise significant incoming business demand.
  • Line‑manage junior product associates.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience within Product Management or an oversight function.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Product Management and leading cross‑functional teams delivering technology‑driven business solutions across the Enterprise.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the Data Privacy space, with a particular focus on highly complex data and automated solutions catering for multiple markets and regulations.
  • Experience leading and coaching multiple high‑performing junior product owners and delivering through a team.
  • Highly organised and self‑motivated, able to combine problem‑resolution, insights‑driven prioritisation and influence across band levels to achieve critical business goals.
  • Rigorous attention to detail, with demonstrated proficiency in creating transparent, well‑communicated and scalable processes and communications, while leading the implementation of those processes across a matrixed environment.
  • Confidence in decision‑making in complex and ambiguous situations; comfortable troubleshooting and aligning conflicting interests.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts and processes to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Proactive analytical skills with a keen eye toward implications on strategy and capability impacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and optimise resources to achieve goals.
  • Flexibility to work and manage business partners across multiple time zones.
  • Driven, entrepreneurial, self‑motivated and able to act with a high level of independence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a related field.
