About the Post

Role: Family Hub Engagement Practitioner. To proactively engage families with children aged 0-25 years into the Family Centre offer through the new Family Hub network. Work from Family Hubs across the borough targeting, planning, and delivering a range of activities. Facilitate registration and engagement of families, support access to services, and deliver universal and targeted Family Hubs and Start for Life activities.

Responsibilities

  • Engage families with children aged 0-19 (including SEND) into Family Hubs
  • Facilitate registration and engagement of families in Family Hubs
  • Support families to access services and interventions to build resilience and gain confidence
  • Collaborate with wider services to ensure families receive appropriate support at right time
  • Deliver universal and targeted Family Hubs and Start for Life activities
  • Target, plan and deliver a range of activities from Family Hubs across the borough

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification or substantial relevant experience
  • Experience working with children, young people and families
  • Strong communication, flexible approach and relationship building skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and ability to adhere to safeguarding policy
  • Knowledge of services provided by Family Hubs within scope of early intervention and prevention
