Role Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to develop new business opportunities and build long‑term client relationships within the freight forwarding and logistics sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving company growth by identifying prospects, generating leads, and securing new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across international freight markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and new clients
  • Focus on developing trade lanes, particularly between the USA and the UK
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing and onboarding new accounts
  • Self‑generate new business opportunities through cold outreach, networking, and market research
  • Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service delivery
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently achieve sales activity and revenue targets
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to generate new business and secure long‑term clients
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and a target‑driven mindset
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a new business environment
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Proficient in using CRM systems (in‑house system experience beneficial)
