Operations Manager
Location: Glasgow, Scotland Salary: 65,000 – 75,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role
A leading building services contractor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and renewable energy projects across Scotland. Based in Glasgow, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
This is a senior role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on management, driving performance across multiple projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations team across multiple projects
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet project delivery targets
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and industry standards
- Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and project schedules
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including adoption of sustainable and low-carbon solutions
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff and apprentices
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager within the building services, construction, or M&E sector
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and large teams simultaneously
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and renewable energy systems is highly desirable
- Strategic thinker with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety
- Relevant qualifications in construction or engineering management (preferred)
