Engineering Administrator

£30,000 per annum | Full-Time | Permanent | Bodmin

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and supportive engineering environment where you’ll play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly.

The Role

This is far from a typical desk job. While you’ll be a key part of the administrative function, you’ll also have opportunities to step outside and assist with yard activities, including supporting deliveries and potentially operating machinery (training provided where required). It’s a genuinely varied role that keeps things interesting and engaging day to day.

Key Responsibilities

  • General office administration and coordination
  • Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
  • Supporting stock control and inventory management
  • Using internal systems to manage data and processes
  • Assisting engineers and managers with daily depot operations
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Providing occasional support in the yard, including deliveries and basic machinery operation

What They’re Looking For

  • Previous administrative experience (engineering or industrial background beneficial)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confident using IT systems (experience with internal systems is a plus, but not essential)
  • A flexible, hands‑on attitude and willingness to support across different areas
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
