CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST POST

NHS Lothian Prisons

1 WTE Band 8A Fixed Term until 31 December 2026

We are recruiting a Clinical Psychologist to join the prison mental health teams.

This post is part of a prison based psychology interventions service working to provide high quality direct and indirect psychological assessments and interventions for prison residents with mental health difficulties. The successful postholders will work with the existing psychology team, as well with multidisciplinary NHS and SPS colleagues to develop trauma informed service delivery and increase access to psychological approaches across both prisons. There are close links with the forensic clinical psychology department and the wider psychology resource within NHS Lothian, with opportunities for research and continuing professional development.
