Job Overview
As an Electrical Engineer you will support the design and delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including the Scottish Water SR27 Enterprise programme (2027‑2033, 2029‑2035). You will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to design excellence at scale while promoting value‑adding solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
- Design and review electrical and ICA elements in wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects (e.g., chemical dosing, pumping stations, sludge treatment units).
- Produce and review client deliverables including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures.
- Liaise and collaborate with water and other discipline teams – civil, electrical, process and mechanical engineers nationwide.
- Visit sites to conduct surveys and support liaison with clients, contractors & suppliers.
- Attend and contribute to design review meetings such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs and SWIFTS.
Qualifications
- A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution, such as IET.
- Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications and calculations with confidence and precision.
- Hands‑on experience in delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater engineering projects.
