Overview
Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre is seeking a Volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.
For over 50 years, we have supported LGBTQ+ people across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland through counselling, support groups, community activities, and training services. As Treasurer, you will play a vital role in helping ensure the charity’s financial sustainability and long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing financial oversight and strategic guidance to the Board
- Supporting budgeting, financial reporting, and good governance
- Monitoring financial controls and helping ensure compliance
- Working with trustees and staff to support sustainable growth
Qualifications
- Financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping experience
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly
- An interest in supporting the LGBTQ+ community and charitable sector
- Previous trustee or charity finance experience is welcomed but not essential

This is a voluntary, unpaid role with reasonable expenses reimbursed. Approximate commitment: 5–6 hours per month, including quarterly board meetings.
