We’re excited to continue our partnership with a leading Tier 1 contractor specialising in the development, construction, maintenance, and operation of complex national infrastructure, and we’re looking for a passionate Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity to influence environmental performance across three major power transmission projects, with a key focus on an ambitious overhead cable upgrade scheme.

You’ll act as a trusted environmental specialist across multi‑disciplinary project teams, championing best practice, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation. From shaping sustainability strategy to supporting site teams on the ground, you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering environmentally responsible outcomes on high‑profile power transmission and distribution works.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading environmental compliance across a portfolio of major projects, ensuring legal, regulatory, and company standards are consistently met.
  • Overseeing environmental documentation, permitting and licensing activities for complex infrastructure works.
  • Providing hands‑on site support through regular inspections, stakeholder engagement and visible presence across projects.
  • Promoting sustainability opportunities, identifying risks and innovative solutions that enhance environmental performance.
  • Advising project teams and supply chain partners, ensuring environmental KPIs and expectations are clearly communicated and delivered.
  • Supporting work‑winning activities, offering environmental input into planning, permitting and bid processes.

Who They’re Looking For:

  • A construction‑savvy environmental specialist, with well-developed knowledge of environmental law, mitigation, licensing and statutory requirements.
  • A confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • A detail‑driven organiser, capable of managing data, records, and reporting across multiple sites.
  • A supportive leader, experienced in guiding junior or graduate environmental staff.
  • A flexible professional, comfortable travelling across Scotland to visit worksites and project offices.
