PAYROLL & BENEFITS MANAGER | Global Luxury Beauty Retail | London
We’re retained by a globally recognised Luxury Retail & Beauty business to appoint a Payroll & Benefits Manager into their UK&I HR team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys owning payroll operations whilst also overseeing a small but important employee benefits portfolio.
Reporting directly into the HR Director and managing a Payroll Co-Ordinator, this role will take ownership of monthly payroll over corporate employees while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a smooth employee experience. the team is 400 heads total split 150 corporate : 250 retail (owned by the Payroll Co-Ordinator).
This is not a 50/50 Payroll & Reward role, but perfectly suited to a Payroll professional who enjoys being hands-on, organised, confident, and commercially aware, running payroll processes end-to-end in a fast-paced environment, with an eagerness to improve Benefits offerings; liaising with the brokers and keen to find alternate packages with improving overall employee experience and well-being in mind.
The Opportunity:
- Lead monthly payroll operations across UK & Ireland using ADP
- Manage payroll for c.400 employees across retail & corporate populations
- Line manage a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator
- Oversee annual benefits renewals and external broker relationships
- Partner closely with HR and Finance on payroll governance and compliance
- Support pensions, benefits administration, reporting, and employee queries
- Ensure payroll accuracy, HMRC compliance, P11Ds, and audit readiness
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a commercial business
- Experience using ADP is Ideal (or confidence learning new systems quickly)
- Understanding of employee benefits administration and broker relationships
- Comfortable operating within an HR-led environment rather than pure Finance
- Hands-on, proactive, and confident managing deadlines independently
- Previous management experience beneficial but not essential
