Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Repair or replace damaged bodywork panels in line with job specifications and manufacturer guidelines, including chassis and framework
  • Dismantle vehicles and assess damage, carrying out repairs or replacing panels where necessary
  • Perform precise panel-beating tasks, ensuring a high standard of finish
  • Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical data, and modification bulletins
  • Carry out MIG and spot welding to a professional standard
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently without compromising quality
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Essential Criteria

  • MIG & spot welding
  • Panel-beating and filler work
  • Removal and replacement of welded and bolt-on panels
  • Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Excellent reliability, timekeeping, and attendance
  • A safety-first mindset always
  • Honest, professional, and courteous approach
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability for your work
  • Methodical and organised working style
  • Motivated team player with a strong work ethic

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience working on commercial or heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
  • Knowledge of cab and chassis straightening and alignment
  • Experience carrying out full cab replacements
  • Exposure to metalwork, electrical systems, and trim repairs
  • HGV driving licence
