About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager to join a leading UK infrastructure and construction organisation delivering complex, high-value projects across multiple sectors.
Working within a dynamic and fast-paced business division, you will lead and manage strategic bids and tender submissions, supporting business growth objectives across major frameworks, public sector opportunities, and private sector projects.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring exceptional stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to produce compelling, high-quality submissions.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end bid management process from PQQ/EOI through to final submission and client presentationDevelop winning bid strategies aligned to client requirements and business objectivesCoordinate contributions from operational, commercial, legal, estimating, and technical teamsManage bid programmes, governance, and approval processesFacilitate bid kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and lessons learned workshopsEnsure submissions are compliant, professionally presented, and delivered within deadlinesSupport and mentor junior bid professionals where appropriateDrive continuous improvement across bid processes, systems, and content librariesBuild strong internal relationships with senior stakeholders and operational leaders
About You
Essential ExperienceProven experience in a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager role within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, rail, highways, or related sectorsStrong understanding of public and private sector procurement processesExperience managing complex bids with values ranging from medium to major projects/frameworksExcellent project management and organisational skillsStrong written communication and presentation capabilityAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyCommercially aware with strong attention to detail
