Compliance Business Partner – Insurance MGA
We are partnering with a growing international insurance MGA to appoint a Compliance Business Partner to support the continued development of its governance and regulatory oversight framework.
This is a highly visible role within a dynamic and internationally expanding business, requiring an individual who can operate as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while providing pragmatic, commercially focused compliance guidance across a complex regulatory environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting governance processes, horizon scanning, regulatory change management, and the ongoing enhancement of compliance frameworks in line with FCA and London Market expectations.

- Previous London Market insurance experience is essential.
- Applicants must have experience working within an insurer, broker, or intermediary/MGA environment.

The Role
The Compliance Business Partner will support the business in meeting its regulatory obligations by providing high-quality compliance advisory support, maintaining effective governance processes, and assessing the impact of regulatory developments across the organisation.
This role requires an individual who can build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, provide confident and well-reasoned regulatory guidance, and support the implementation of proportionate and commercially aligned compliance controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for regulatory and governance queries across the business.
- Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused compliance guidance to business stakeholders and senior management.
- Attend business and governance meetings, providing updates on regulatory developments, emerging risks, and required actions.
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify and assess regulatory developments relevant to the business and wider insurance market.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes and support implementation planning across business areas.
- Work collaboratively with business units to develop and enhance policies, procedures, and controls aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Provide Compliance input and challenge in relation to new business initiatives, products, operational processes, and strategic projects.
- Support the ongoing development and strengthening of governance frameworks and regulatory oversight processes.
- Maintain effective communication between Compliance and the wider business, ensuring visibility of key initiatives and regulatory matters.
- Build strong and constructive relationships with stakeholders across varying levels of seniority.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Compliance team to share insights, support colleagues, and contribute to the effectiveness of the overall function.
Skills & Experience Required
- Essential experience within a Compliance role in the London Market insurance sector.
- Experience working within an insurer, broker, or intermediary environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook, including Principles, Rules, and Guidance.
- Experience providing compliance advisory support directly to business stakeholders and senior management.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, regulatory expectations, and conduct risk within financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory requirements and provide clear, practical, and proportionate advice.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of balancing regulatory obligations with business objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
