General Manager
Repairs & Maintenance – Property Services
Up to £90,000 Plus Package
Our client, a large housing provider, is currently looking for a General Manager to lead their direct labour team on day‑to‑day responsive repair contracts.
The Role
Work alongside a Commercial Manager and the Operations Director to ensure P&L, budgets and deadlines are met. Manage the level of service and quality to the highest standard while controlling costs, creating CPP & programming of works and budgeting. Report directly to the MD.
Your direct team will include operations managers, contract managers, supervisors, a direct labour team & office staff. Support from the Repairs Director will help achieve successful service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure P&L, budgets and deadlines are met.
- Maintain the highest service and quality standards.
- Control costs and create CPP and work programming.
- Lead and develop a team of operations, contract, supervisory, labour and office staff.
- Report to the MD and Repairs Director.
The Candidate
- Extensive building knowledge and experience in responsive maintenance and partnering frameworks.
- Experience managing multiple site teams, a large DLO, strategically planning projects and solving complex problems.
- Good knowledge of up‑to‑date legislation and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to create a strong working environment, build relationships with clients and team members, and achieve KPI targets.
Building teams to hit and overachieve KPI’s and targets.
Ability to manage P&L on contracts.
