Are you a leader in the Disability Sector? Would you like to lead one of the pioneers of Disabled People’s organisations? If yes, SPECTRUM is recruiting a Disabled Person for Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Chief Executive Officer 30hrs – 37.5hrs/week (negotiable)
Salary scale: Scale P#removed# – £42,096 – £45,333, for 37.5hrs/week
Applicants will have a thorough knowledge of disability issues and the Social Model of Disability. You will be responsible for strategic development, staff/project management and peer support. Excellent interpersonal, budget management, and organisational skills together with the ability to communicate at all levels are essential qualities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage an expanding organisation of Disabled People committed to campaigning for full civil rights for Disabled People and providing user-led services.

We support a definition of Disabled People that encompasses people with a physical, sensory, intellectual, psychological, emotional or any other hidden impairment. Therefore, this includes people with learning difficulties, system survivors, cancer and those with HIV/AIDS.
