We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our team as the Imperial Inspires Scholarship Programme Manager. This high-profile role will take ownership on the implementation and end-to-end administration of the new Imperial Inspires Scholarships, launching for 2027 entry with at least 300 scholarships. With a strong focus on process implementation and stakeholder management, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Imperial to deliver Imperial’s scholarship strategy and make a significant difference to the student experience.

What you would be doing

The Imperial Inspires Scholarship Programme Manager will provide strategic leadership in the development of the Imperial Inspires Scholarship programme and the rollout of the unified scholarship framework, standardising scholarship administration across Imperial.

You will:

  • Take ownership on the Imperial Inspires Scholarship Programme, awarding over 300 scholarships each academic year. This community of Inspires scholars is intended to reach several thousand within the first few years. This role will ensuring timely, accurate and efficient processes for application, selection, and award.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, engagement, and relationship skills, cultivating and managing relationship with faculties and academic departments to ensure cross-university consultation and communication.
  • Oversee the Inspires scholarship budgets, managing over 9m each year to ensure appropriate allocation of university and philanthropic funds while monitoring compliance with donor intent, institutional policies and foundation regulations.
  • Lead a strategic joint initiative with the Provost and senior leadership within Advancement to define and scope phase 2 of the Inspires programme, expanding provision to include full scholarships for UK postgraduate and international students from widening participation backgrounds and/or with demonstratable financial need.
  • Regularly present updates to senior university leadership on project progress, making recommendations through briefings, presentations, or written reports to facilitate the interpretation of specific issues/problems and support decision-making.

What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in higher education, particularly scholarship administration, admissions, or related areas.
  • Experience in process mapping, workflow analysis, or business process improvement.
  • Detailed knowledge of project management techniques and experience of successful project delivery.
  • Experience of analysing complex data and information and presenting reports to others.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead a team effectively.
  • A true passion for working with students and the desire to break down barriers in accessing an Imperial education.

Further information

The department (MORA) have recently moved to our state-of-the-art offices in White City Media Works, which is the heart of the new campus being built in the area. The department operates hybrid working, with the expectation of at least two days in the office.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week).
