We’re seeking an experienced Risk Lawyer to join a dynamic Risk and Compliance team at a leading law firm. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you’ll play a crucial role in protecting the firm’s interests whilst supporting fee-earning teams.

This is a varied and rewarding position spanning claims management, complaints handling, and regulatory liaison.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage internal notifications of potential claims or circumstances, reviewing matter files and liaising with fee earners and key stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive schedules of live notifications and claims matters
• Serve as the primary point of contact for insurers and external law firms regarding notified matters
• Review formal complaints, analyse relevant files, and draft comprehensive responses on behalf of the firm
• Ensure complaints are addressed within all required regulatory timescales
• Liaise with the Legal Ombudsman and SRA as required
• Support the Head of R&C with annual insurance policy renewals and management reporting
• Assist with data subject access requests (DSARs) and related reviews
