Practice Accountant, Ormskirk, up to £45k plus bonus opp

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Practice Accountant to join our team.
The Role
– The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients and be involved in all aspects of accounts preparation, taxation, and client support.

Key Responsibilities
– Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
– Completion of VAT returns and bookkeeping where required
– Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns
– Managing client relationships and responding to queries
– Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
– Assisting with management accounts and general practice work
-Ensuring work is completed accurately and on time Liaising with HMRC where necessary
About You
– Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
-ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, qualified by experience, or currently studying
– Accountancy qualifications are not essential for the right candidate
– Good working knowledge of accounts, VAT, and taxation
– Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
– Friendly and professional manner with clients and colleagues
– Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
– Experience with cloud accounting software preferred
– Right to work in the UK and be able to start in the location asap.
