Barrow-in-Furness (Minimum 3 days on-site per week)12-Month Maternity Cover (x3 roles)£23.82 per hour PAYE or £31.94 via umbrella (inside IR35)
This is a Case Coaching Advisor position – not a generalist HR role. You will act as a subject matter expert in Employee Relations (ER), providing specialist advice and coaching on complex, high-risk cases across the UK business.
The Role
The UK Case Coaching Team provides expert technical advice and support to managers on all Employee Relations matters, including complex investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
Working within a team of 20 specialist case coaches, you will:
Act as a trusted SME and strategic advisor to managers and senior leadersProvide legally sound, risk-balanced advice in line with UK employment law and internal policyEnsure compliance with the Acas Code of Practice and current legislationCoach and influence managers to build capability and confidence in managing ER mattersWork closely with Trade Unions and employee representatives in a unionised environmentManage a large and varied case workload across multiple UK business areasCore DutiesCoach and advise Line Managers on complex and sensitive ER cases with high business riskEstablish strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective case progressionProvide balanced, commercially aware and legally compliant adviceSupport managers, employees and representatives to resolve cases effectively and consistentlyMaintain accurate and timely case records using appropriate systemsChallenge and influence managers constructively to improve ER capabilityEssential CriteriaCIPD Level 5 qualification or aboveSignificant ER discipline expertise with strong UK employment law knowledgeDemonstrable experience managing a high-volume, complex case workloadExperience working in a unionised environmentProven ability to advise on high-risk and complex ER mattersStrong stakeholder management skills across varied and senior audiencesSound judgement and problem-solving capabilityKnowledge & Skills:UK employment law and its practical applicationAcas Code of PracticeBest practice Employee Relations frameworksCase management and prioritisationRisk assessment and mitigationInfluencing and coachingStakeholder engagementClear and confident written and verbal communicationWhy Join BAE Systems?At BAE Systems, you’ll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, integrity and merit. xwzovoh You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a complex and nationally significant organisation….
