Job Description:

A leading advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a Project Engineer to join its engineering and facilities team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role delivering capital projects, infrastructure improvements, and new manufacturing assets within a highly technical production environment.

This role will suit an engineer with strong project delivery experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting who enjoys managing projects from concept through to commissioning.

The RoleAs Project Engineer, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing engineering projects from scope through to handover

  • Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS), project plans and Gantt charts

  • Leading the acquisition, installation and commissioning of new manufacturing assets

  • Supporting the implementation of new software and hardware systems

  • Delivering facility and infrastructure upgrades to improve operational efficiency

  • Managing project budgets, cost tracking and financial accountability

  • Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and contractors

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements (PTW, RAMS, CDM)

  • Driving project governance and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • HNC or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing or Project Management

  • Experience delivering engineering projects within manufacturing or industrial environments

  • Knowledge of asset acquisition, commissioning and system integration

  • Strong experience producing technical documentation and URS

  • Familiarity with PTW, RAMS and CDM safety frameworks

  • Experience using project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Engineering or Project Management degree

  • PRINCE2, PMP or APM certification

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
