A well-regarded interior fit-out specialist is seeking an experienced Site Manager on an initial 3‑month contract, with genuine potential for a permanent role. The position starts in approximately 4 weeks and offers a day rate of £250 to £275 depending on experience.


Founded in 2006, the business delivers interior trade packages for some of the UK’s leading principal contractors and fit‑out companies. Services include suspended ceilings, glazed screens and partitions, demountable partitions, acoustic wall treatments, spray‑applied acoustic solutions, drywall partitions and linings, and doors and ironmongery. The business holds Constructionline accreditation, is a member of the FIS, and is a certified Rockfon Mono Acoustic installer.


Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Site Manager will take full responsibility for day‑to‑day site supervision, health and safety, quality assurance, programme management and client liaison.

Site Manager Job Overview



  • Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day site supervision and management of operatives, materials and plant

  • Conduct daily safety tours, ensure correct PPE use, and raise, brief and monitor Method Statements and Risk Assessments including COSHH

  • Hold and record weekly Toolbox Talks; maintain the Scafftag system and report all accidents, incidents and near misses

  • Check and sign off work quality daily; issue NCRs to subcontractors and produce rolling snagging sheets for the client

  • Ensure all works comply with the Inspection and Test Plan

  • Monitor programme; provide weekly look‑ahead and constraints list to the client

  • Submit and record RFIs; photograph progress, delays and obstructions

  • Obtain Void Clearance and Permit to Work before closing partitions or ceilings

  • Manage and record variations and additional works

  • Order materials in advance; maintain delivery notes; track plant on and off hire

  • Maintain daily signing‑in log and monitor productivity against programme and labour budget

  • Conduct weekly progress meetings and circulate minutes

  • Complete Daily Site Diary throughout the project and lead close‑out through to signed client satisfaction certificate

  • Proven site management experience within interior fit‑out, including suspended ceilings, partitions or drylining

  • Current First Aid qualification and valid CSCS card, both essential

  • SMSTS preferred; NVQ Site Management, PASMA, IPAF and Asbestos Awareness all advantageous

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations including method statements, risk assessments and COSHH

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • IT literate and comfortable with digital reporting and document management

  • Well organised, proactive and calm under pressure
