Lincolnshire County Council is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our newly created Advanced Practitioner role within the Adult Care and Community Wellbeing service.
Developed as part of the Adult Care Improvement Programme, this role is central to driving forward service excellence, embedding strengths-based practice, and enhancing outcomes for adults across Lincolnshire. It provides a unique opportunity to lead complex casework, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the transformation of adult social care through innovation and collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex cases and safeguarding concerns, working both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Champion strengths-based approaches that empower individuals and promote community wellbeing.
- Provide coaching, reflective supervision, and practice development across the team.
- Contribute to service transformation, quality assurance, and innovation in adult care.
- Embed yourself within place-based services and multi-agency networks to support integrated working.
Essential criteria
We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:
- Substantial professional experience, with a minimum of four years post-qualification as a Social Worker. Ideally, candidates will hold a Post-Qualifying Award in Practice Education (Stage 1 and/or Stage 2), or an equivalent specialist qualification. Applicants without these qualifications must demonstrate a clear commitment to undertaking them within six months of appointment.
- A strong commitment to personalised, strengths-based practice, with a deep understanding of adult social care and community wellbeing.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to support, guide, and influence colleagues, alongside sound professional judgement and confident decision-making in complex situations.

Fluency Duty
