About the role
You will be working as an Advanced Practitioner/AMHP in a friendly and supportive team, providing statutory services under the Mental Health Act 1983.
The AMHP will be on a rolling 6‑week rota, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments and covering a 24‑hour service, 365 days per year.
Approved Mental Health Professionals have a crucial role in improving mental health outcomes for Hillingdon residents. You will work in partnership with residents, families, carers and other professionals, providing collaborative solutions.
You will use your social work skills, knowledge and values to engage with people, promote recovery and independence, and ensure practice is delivered in the least restrictive manner.
We support people to live in the community, working with families and local communities as central to our approach. Developing a whole‑system response with key partners is critical to delivering high‑quality, outcome‑focused care and the right support.
We recognise the specialist skills, knowledge and experience that Mental Health Social Workers and AMHPs bring. Our practising AMHPs are appointed as Advanced Social Work Practitioners.
