About the opportunity

The Civil/Structural team specialises in solving the most complex and technically demanding structural engineering problems. Each project is unique, typically involving dynamic load effects due to extreme hazards, including seismic, blast, and impact. We consider ductility, nonlinear buckling, and soil–structure interaction beyond code checks, producing rigorously validated analysis models and independent third‑party review for nuclear safety regulators. The main locations will be based around Winnersh or Glasgow, with other UK office locations considered.

Responsibilities

  • Inter‑disciplinary project planning, delivery and financial performance
  • Provision of technical quality and excellence of project deliverables
  • Providing technical and professional guidance, support and development of junior engineers and technicians
  • Adherence to and contribution to business and quality management systems
  • Operational and design safety, and developing a strong safety culture

What You’ll Need

Successful candidates must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role, including being a UK national or eligible for clearance. Your eligibility may be affected by national security clearance, trade control restrictions, place of birth, nationality, citizenship and residency.

  • Good all‑round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes
  • Proven ability to manage projects and prepare project deliverables, including managing quality, budget, programme and resources
  • Proven ability in preparation of bids and proposals, and develop good working relationships with clients
  • Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
