Clinical Research Nurse

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Research Nurse to join Milton Keynes University Hospital’s Research & Development department in this permanent role.

You will be liaising with clinical teams to recruit eligible patients, support delivery of clinical interventions and conduct tests according to specific study protocols, be responsible for study follow up, data entry, ensuring patient safety and maintaining high levels of quality assurance, and participate in the set-up of new trials within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clinical teams to recruit eligible patients.
• Support delivery of clinical interventions and conduct tests according to specific study protocols.
• Responsible for study follow up, data entry, ensuring patient safety and maintaining high levels of quality assurance.
• Participate in set-up of new trials and work within multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality clinical research.
• Gain knowledge and experience in research, IT platforms, data management, governance processes and logistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year post registration experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good timekeeping and prioritisation skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Experience in specialties such as Stroke, Dermatology, Diabetes or Hepatology beneficial, but able to work across different areas.

Contracts will be issued by Milton Keynes University Hospital on behalf of the East of England Regional Research Delivery Network.
