Reed Practice are privileged to have been engaged by the Partners of a well-established, reputable firm of chartered accounts easily commutable from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.

We are seeking an experienced, full time Bookkeeper to join their busy team.

They offer a friendly and supportive environment, and for the past nearly six decades have maintained strong, consistent relationships with clients both local, national and international.

This is a full-time post due to the success of the firm and number of clients new and historic they service. As Bookkeeper your role will include –

  • Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payments, and journals.
  • Process payroll and pension submissions (desirable).
  • Complete bank, credit card, and control account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records using cloud-based accounting software.
  • Assist with management accounts preparation.
  • Liaise directly with clients regarding bookkeeping queries and financial information requests.
  • Support year-end account preparation by ensuring records are complete and accurate.

We are flexible as to who we are looking for but you must have –

  • Bookkeeping experience, either with or without payroll.
  • AAT qualification or qualified by experience
  • Work experience in an accounting firm – or another similar environment where you have undertaken bookkeeping for multiple separate entities.
