Senior Marketing Manager

Company: Luffy AI
Apply for the Senior Marketing Manager
Location: Culham
Job Description:

Luffy AI is the foundation AI company at the forefront of the Physical AI revolution.

Every motor, every drive, every system that moves, heats or reacts has run on control algorithms invented before the microchip. A hundred years of industry built on logic that was never designed to learn, never designed to adapt, and never designed to improve.

We’re changing that.

Spun out of the UK Atomic Energy Authority and based at Culham Campus in Oxford, we are a team of physicists, engineers and AI researchers working on the intelligence that will run the next hundred years – in every factory, every vehicle, every robot, every machine that does something real.

Where industrial processes gain agency.

Where every machine becomes intelligent.

Where AI meets the Physical World.

The role

We’re looking for an exceptional first marketing person – a function that will be yours to define.

You wouldn’t be starting from scratch. You’re joining a technical team of researchers and scientists at the apex of this field, a pipeline of serious partnerships, and a story that deserves to be told. Your job is to tell it. Through content that earns the attention of engineers and innovation leaders at the world’s largest industrial organisations. Through relationships that form at events and trade shows and through a brand presence that reflects the quality of the work behind it.

This is a hands‑on role. There is no team to delegate to, and no playbook to follow. The person who thrives here will get energy from making things rather than managing them.

You’ll build the communications that keep conversations alive working with our commercial team. You’ll sit with our researchers, draw out the insight in their work, and help shape it into content that means something to the people reading it.

Your responsibilities

Build and own the marketing function from the ground up — strategy, execution, and everything in between.

Develop and maintain the nurturing infrastructure that keeps commercial relationships progressing between senior touchpoints — sequences, follow‑up, CRM workflows.

Extract insight from our research and engineering teams and shape it into content (including, long form and short form written, video and audio content) that builds credibility with technical and commercial audiences at the world’s leading industrial organisations.

Own our trade show and events presence end to end — from logistics and collateral through to pre‑show outreach and post‑show follow‑up.

Own the brand and website, ensuring both reflect the quality and ambition of the work behind them.

Work with our external communications agency — briefing, reviewing output, and ensuring everything that goes out reflects the voice and ambition of the company.

Work closely with the commercial team — including our Partner Development Representative — to ensure marketing activity maps directly to pipeline, and that every touchpoint from first contact to follow‑up is consistent, timely and purposeful.

Be hands‑on with website, social and content tools.

You will be a good fit if you

  • Have built B2B2B marketing in a technical, industrial or research‑led environment and know what it takes to earn credibility with people who have deep domain expertise.
  • Understand how large industrial organisations partner and buy – long cycles, multiple stakeholders, decisions made on trust long before they are made on contract.
  • Are genuinely curious about hard technology – not a background in control systems, but the kind of person who wants to understand what makes ours interesting.
  • Build things rather than brief them – you set direction and execute it.
  • Have set up or meaningfully improved a CRM‑based nurturing programme and understand what successful systematic follow‑up looks like.
  • Have owned and managed trade show presence end to end.
  • Are energised rather than unsettled by early‑stage environments.

Exceptional candidates will also have

  • Experience extracting and shaping technical content from research or engineering teams
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, drives, robotics, semiconductors and adjacent sectors
  • An active interest or background in the Physical AI space and where it’s heading.

We welcome applicants with non‑traditional career paths or equivalent experience. We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age.

We don’t expect candidates to meet every requirement listed — if you’re excited about the role and think you could be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.

We also recognise that people have different responsibilities and circumstances. We’re open to discussing flexible working arrangements, including around caring responsibilities, to help make the role work for you.
