SCUK Data Quality & Controls Analyst

Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of car dealerships throughout the United Kingdom. We are pleased to announce that we are currently looking for a Data Quality & Controls Analyst to join us on a permanent basis.In this role, reporting to the Data Quality & Controls Manager you will use your knowledge in SAS to develop and maintain flexible data quality and integrity solutions that automate and support controls across SCUK’s systems, by working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address data quality issues and oversee implementation of controls.You will collaborate with teams across the business to implement best practices for data quality management and control. Using your SAS expertise you will help develop, maintain and operate a flexible Data Quality and Integrity solution’s that can be used to automate and support controls across our systems. You will also support your manager with the implementation of the company’s data quality strategy and support the business to apply best practices for data quality management and control.Main Responsibilities will include:Supporting the design and implementation of data quality and integrity controls, aligned to the Santander data management policiesUtilising SAS software to create and manage data quality and integrity controls that ensure the accuracy and consistency of dataMaintaining, monitoring and supporting existing SAS data quality and integrity controlsCollaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data integrity controls are properly designed, tested, and implementedWorking with the business to support initiatives that enhance the value of Data Quality across the companyProducing and supporting monthly data quality reporting, including assisting with regulatory and audit activity relating to data quality, controls, and reportingSupporting compliance with regulatory guidelines, including Risk Data Aggregation requirements under Basel regulation BCBS239, by operating controls and escalating issues appropriatelyAssisting in fulfilling ad hoc requests and projects related to data quality and integrity controlsAssisting in the maintenance, implementation and annual review of relevant models, policies, and proceduresWe’re looking for someone who has:Previous Data Analyst work experience with demonstrable experience of developing, implementing, and monitoring data quality and integrity controlsStrong SAS technical knowledgeWorking knowledge of SQL/OracleAn understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality best practice, design and implementation of data related controlsGood emotional intelligence, influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels of the businessThe ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectivelyThe ability to quickly gain a good understanding of new business areas and systemsA solid work ethic with attention to detailExperience in Power BI (desirable – but not essential)A degree in relevant field e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Analytics (desirable – but not essential)A Certified Data Management Professional (CMDP) (desirable – but not essential)We have a range of benefits available which include:Competitive salary of £45,000-£50,000 (dependent on experience)£500 flexible benefit allowance27 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidaysAnnual bonus based on personal and company performanceGenerous pension contributionsEmployee assistance programmeSharesave schemeGym passes at a reduced rate for 3,000 gyms, leisure centres etcOther things you need to know:The working hours are 09:00-17:00 across Monday to FridayInclusionAt Santander we’re creating a thriving workplace where all colleagues feel they belong and are supported to succeed.
