Locum Allergist Consultant – Lead Allergy Clinics (Part-Time)

Position

We are looking to appoint a Part‑time Locum Consultant Allergist to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Northern General Hospital (7 PAs).

The appointee, together with consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision and professional direction of the Clinical Immunology and Allergy Unit and will work flexibly to ensure continuous provision of clinical duties. The new appointee will be responsible for delivery of allergy‑related clinics only, with no duties in respect of immunology related clinics or laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly Allergy outpatient clinics and support day case activity within the CIAU.
• Work as part of an MDT to determine treatment plans for patients.
• Maintain revalidation and CPD in Allergy.
• Have continuing clinical responsibility for patients admitted under your care and for any managerial/administrative arrangements necessary for their continuing care.
• Contribute to the regular meetings of the CIAU Sub‑Directorate.
• Participate in the Trust’s annual appraisal process.

The successful candidate will work according to the terms and conditions of the national consultant contract.
