Your Role As a Residential Childrens Support Worker, youll play a key role in supporting and empowering young people who have experienced trauma. Youll contribute to every aspect of their care and development in a professional, compassionate, and consistent way. Support the emotional, physical, and educational development of young people. Contribute to and implement individual care plans and risk assessments. Maintain high standards in residential care as expected by Ofsted. Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals. Manage challenging behaviour and support children in crisis with a calm, trauma-informed approach. Maintain detailed, accurate records and follow procedures and risk assessments. A genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs and trauma backgrounds. Resilience, patience, and commitment to never giving up on a child. Experience in childrens residential care is welcomed but not essential.We value a wide range of life experiences and transferable skills, including hobbies or talents that can positively engage young people. Shift Pattern & Hours~5-week rolling rota: 2 days on, 3 days off~ Shifts: 10:00 AM 11:00 PM (followed by a sleep-in)~ Flexibility to cover early or late shifts between 7:30 AM and 10:30 PM~ Includes weekend work as part of the rota
