Operational Support Manager – Corporate Services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, supporting over 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical roles. In this position you will work within the Corporate Services Team, acting as the primary point of contact for the Scottish Government, MPs and MSPs who have enquiries on behalf of constituents about NHSGGC.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Manage an individual caseload, meeting target deadlines and ensuring high performance.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and time‑management skills, balancing competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, producing clear, accurate and professional responses under pressure.
  • Build credibility and establish trust with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Apply knowledge of NHS governance policies, procedures, data protection, Freedom of Information and information governance requirements.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior decision‑makers to support service improvement and public confidence.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent experience with a proven track record of delivering high‑quality work in a complex environment.
  • Show high‑level organisational skills with experience of managing systems, processes and reporting to support service delivery.

Duration, Location and Working Pattern

  • JB Russell House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
