Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in Main Contracting?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an Estimator to join a professional and growing construction contractor specialising in healthcare, commercial, and education projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit and forward-thinking pre-construction team working on a variety of refurbishment and construction schemes ranging from small works through to multi-million-pound projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years Estimating experience within a Main Contracting environment
• Experience within healthcare, commercial, or education sectors
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Strong organisational, negotiation, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Degree qualified or construction-related qualification
• Good understanding of JCT / NEC Forms of Contract
• SMM7 and/or NRM experience
• Reviewing tender documentation to identify subcontract and material requirements
• Preparing and issuing subcontract tender enquiries
• Assessing and aligning subcontractor quotations
• Producing competitive tender submissions using subcontract pricing and first-principal pricing methods
• Identifying pricing gaps and compiling labour, plant, and material costings
• Producing take-offs for general construction works including flooring, ceilings, and partitions
• Pricing project preliminaries including welfare, waste management, and site protection requirements
• Identifying and compiling tender qualifications and exclusions
• Assisting the wider pre-construction team to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Attending site visits and undertaking tender surveys nationwide when required
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the tender process
