Senior Engineer

Gortmore are working with a leading contractor who are looking for a Senior Engineer on a high‑profile infrastructure project in the Devon area.

The Candidate Must

• Have previous experience working on civil projects involving earthworks, drainage, service/ductwork installation, and RC concrete.
• Be competent in ordering material and rebar.
• Have previous experience working with designers.
• Monitor, manage, and distribute project information to site engineers and ensure accurate setting‑out and dimensional control.
• Ensure that works are constructed to the latest design and agreed specification.
• Ensure project QA is being carried out and site diary is maintained.
• Be competent in AutoCAD, reading drawings, Cut & Fill, and quantifying/ordering materials such as concrete, rebar, drainage and earthwork materials.
• Carry out ITPs, KPIs, RFIs, etc.
• Have excellent communication skills and can distribute project information to work colleagues.
• Have excellent problem‑solving capabilities and be able to raise any potential issues.
