About the role
At Balfour Beatty we deliver some of the UK’s most critical infrastructure and engineering projects. We are seeking an experienced Security Assurance Manager to join our team in Derby, supporting a strategic partnership with Rolls Royce.
This role is critical in proactively managing security risks across the supply chain through robust compliance, assurance, and monitoring activities. Acting as the construction programme’s Single Point of Contact for all supply chain security matters, you will play a key role in aligning internal and supplier security posture with client assurance expectations. You will also own and facilitate security assurance processes while supporting the Procurement function with supplier onboarding and ongoing assurance activities.
What you’ll be doing
As a Security Assurance Manager you will:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all supply chain security matters across the construction programme
- Lead security assurance activities across suppliers, contractors, and project delivery teams
- Ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and industry security standards
- Conduct supplier assurance reviews, audits, and compliance assessments
- Support Procurement with supplier onboarding, due diligence, and assurance activities
- Monitor and manage security risks across the supply chain
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Support incident management, investigations, and corrective action activities
- Provide clear security advice and guidance to project and operational teams
- Drive continuous improvement across security assurance processes and controls
Who we’re looking for
You will have the following:
- Proven experience in security assurance, governance, compliance, or supply chain security
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and risk management practices
- Experience working within defence, nuclear, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or similarly regulated sectors
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
