Head of Service – Responsive Repairs

Local Authority client based in West of England£659 PAYE – £850 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35)37 hours per week6 month ongoing contract

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of responsive repairs and empty homes (voids) service
• Oversee surveying, diagnostics, scheduling and operational performance
• Manage contractor performance to ensure quality, value and compliance
• Ensure properties are maintained to a safe and compliant standard
• Drive service improvement, efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Manage budgets and resources to meet financial and performance targets
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and elected members
• Contribute to wider Housing Service leadership and strategy

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing responsive repairs within a social housing environment
• Proven track record at a senior management or Head of Service level
• Strong contractor and performance management experience
• Experience managing budgets and delivering efficiencies
• Excellent stakeholder management skills within a public sector setting
• Strong leadership and team development capability
