Head of Service – Responsive Repairs
Local Authority client based in West of England£659 PAYE – £850 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35)37 hours per week6 month ongoing contract
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of responsive repairs and empty homes (voids) service
- Oversee surveying, diagnostics, scheduling and operational performance
- Manage contractor performance to ensure quality, value and compliance
- Ensure properties are maintained to a safe and compliant standard
- Drive service improvement, efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Manage budgets and resources to meet financial and performance targets
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and elected members
- Contribute to wider Housing Service leadership and strategy
Qualifications
- Extensive experience managing responsive repairs within a social housing environment
- Proven track record at a senior management or Head of Service level
- Strong contractor and performance management experience
- Experience managing budgets and delivering efficiencies
- Excellent stakeholder management skills within a public sector setting
- Strong leadership and team development capability
