Head of School – School of Agriculture Policy and Development

The University of Reading is seeking to appoint a Head of School for the School of Agriculture Policy and Development. The role is for an established Professor or Associate Professor with proven academic leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership for the School, setting its vision and strategic direction
• Represent the School externally, engaging with key stakeholders
• Ensure long‑term financial sustainability of the School
• Play a significant role in contributing to leadership at the wider University level
• Support and shape the Agri‑Food Futures Strategy and integration of research initiatives within the School

Qualifications

• Established Professor or Associate Professor
• Proven academic leadership experience
• Strong record of research, teaching and management within a university setting
• Ability to contribute to broader university strategy and governance
