Refrigeration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer with hands‑on experience in CO₂ systems to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their expertise, as full training will be provided in ammonia (NH₃) refrigeration systems.

You’ll be working on a variety of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair CO₂ refrigeration systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations
• Accurately complete service reports and documentation
• Participate in on‑call rota (if applicable)
• Undertake training and development in ammonia refrigeration systems

Requirements

• Proven experience working with CO₂ refrigeration systems
• Relevant refrigeration / HVAC qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• F‑Gas certification (essential)
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to learn and develop ammonia refrigeration skills

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Previous experience with ammonia (NH₃) systems
• Experience in industrial refrigeration environments
• Electrical qualifications or strong electrical knowledge
