Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full‑time Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join our Adult Forensic Services within our Secure Services. This role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality care to service users with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical management of a defined caseload within our adult forensic services.
• Work within a well‑established multidisciplinary team.
• Play a key role in shaping clinical strategy and service development.
• Contribute to training, supervision, and research activities across the division.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the General Medical Council.
• MRCPsych or recognised equivalent.
• Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview.
• Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
